Category 4 Hurricane Michael slams into Atlantans favorite vacation spot

30A is being pummeled

October 10, 2018

We see those stickers on the backs of cars in our daily commute.

"30A", they read.

Most of you know exactly where that it, because you've stayed there once, or several times, a year.

30A is under attack by a massive Category 4 hurricane named Michael, and it doesn't look good.

Get a look at what happened here:

This is from a beachfront restaurant in PCB. One that might not be there later today.

This is heartbreaking to watch, as the pier is being ripped apart by the sustained winds reaching 150 mph, but it's going to get worse before it's over.

The American Red Cross is often the best place to go when wanting to help in these situations.

If you indicate it on your donation, ALL of that donation must go to that particular disaster. Click the red bar to make a donation for Hurricane Michael assitance.

Georgia Power, and the handful of other smaller power providers in the state, DO have customers without power, and that number is expected to rise.

Check out the Power Outage Map here for where the latest outages are occuring.

We'll keep adding photos from the area as they come in.
