Jeff Dauler catches up with Rodney Bullard, Exec Dir of the Chick-fil-A Foundation at the Beloved Benefit

Bruno Mars, Steve Harvey and more at a star-studded night at MB Stadium!

March 21, 2019

Thursday night, March 21st, 2019, was one incredibly special night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Beloved Benefit kicked off at 4:30 pm with press conferences including Steve Harvey, Stephen Cannon from AMB Group, Dan Cathy from Chick-fil-A, Emeli Sadé, Karen Rogers and more. We'll have video from those press conferences up soon.

But then the night turned to the action down on the floor of the stadium. We knew it would be a huge night from the massive elaborate staging set up and it surely did not disappoint!

From Dan Cathy, to Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, to Steve Harvey as Emcee, to surprise performances by Ceelo and then the headliner, Bruno Mars, it was an incredible night of giving.

The 2019 Beloved Benefit was an experience unlike any other. Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King  Jr.’s Beloved Community, this rare evening brought together citizens and celebrities, leaders and residents, clergy and professionals -- all united around Atlanta’s Westside neighborhoods.

This inspiring evening included notable speakers, award-winning musicians, powerful stories, and delicious fare. Hosted in the electric Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the evening celebrated and honored the life-changing work already underway in Atlanta's Westside.

One of the organizing partners was Atlanta's own Chick-Fil-A, and the Executive Director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation is Rodney Bullard. Rodney graduated from the University of Georgia's Terry College of Busines, then Harvard University for his Masters, then a Law degree from Duke University. He's a former Assistant United States Attorney and White House Fellow. So naturally, we sent our own intellectual Jeff Dauler to catch up with him. :-)
