Less than a year after surviving a shooting outside of an Atlanta-area restaurant, 28-year-old rapper Yung Mazi has been shot and killed. The rapper was reportedly outside of a neighborhood pizza shop just a couple hundred feet from a police department when, officials say, he was the target of a hit. Back in December, Mazi, whose real name is Jabril Abdul-Rahman, claimed that "God made [him> bulletproof" when he survived being shot in the chest. He was also shot in the legs back in 2015. In the below YouTube video from 2016, Mazi, who has claimed to have been shot at least 10 times, explained why he keeps getting shot.

Local media outlets say the gunman got away before police arrived. Police reportedly have no suspect and no arrests have been made.

Since learning of his death, several rappers took to social media to honor Mazi.

Rest easy Mazi ----
