Brit Turner's daughter was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma almost a decade ago, but he and his fellow bandmates of Blackberry Smoke are giving back to the kids at CHOA. Last week the band visited the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to deliver gift bags to the patients and perform for them in their rooms. Along with the smiles they brought to the kids, the band also delivered a check for $50,000 to the hospital. Turner's daughter is 11 years old and doing great, but his experience with her battle has made him want to give back to other kids fighting cancer in the best way possible.
