Should Seniors Be Moving Into Holiday Inns Instead of Nursing Homes?... Terry Robison, of Houston TX,  thinks so!

Mr. Robison recently made a rather compelling Facebook post pointing out why this might make sense for some seniors.
The numbers have not been confirmed, but if they're close then this guy might be onto something...Here's his argument:
Terry says an average nursing home costs $188/day.
With a senior discount, the average Holiday Inn (in his area) is only $60/night. (Again these numbers aren't verified, but they're close to the average.)
This leaves about $130/day for food, laundry, and entertainment. Plus most Holiday Inns offer pools, workout rooms, and lounges, free of charge.
Not to mention all the amenities like: free toiletries, never having to pay for or change light bulbs, tech support if the TV goes out, daily housekeeping to make your bed and take out the trash...
HELLO!... You'll never have to make the bed or clean the toilet!?
Tips go far for anything else you might need, which wouldn't be a problem because of all the money you'd be saving in rent.

This idea obviously doesn't work for someone who needs constant and/or skilled care, but for the independent, unmaterialistic, and savvy senior, this might make sense.

Mr Robison's post has been shared on Facebook more than 120k times.
